Profhilo is the latest anti aging injectable treatment in Singapore to target skin laxity through collagen & elastin production. Also known as 逆時針 in Chinese, it is the first ‘injectable skincare’ to stimulate bio-remodelling.
Similar to fillers, the main ingredient is hyaluronic acid. However, it is neither a skin booster nor a filler. It contains crosslinking of low and high molecular weight hyaluronic acid to treat sagging issues.
Profhilo has 5x more hyaluronic acid than Skinboosters and has the highest hyaluronic acid content (32 mg/mL). Best of all, there are only 5 injection points required on each side of the face.

Profhilo vs Rejuran vs Skinboosters
Hyaluronic Acid (HA) injections are often used for one of two purposes: hydration or volumizing.
The main ingredient in Profhilo is HA, however, compared to skin boosters, HA stimulates four different forms of collagen & elastin. This helps to repair the skin’s general integrity while also providing a lifting impact.

Profhilo vs Rejuran
Differences between Profhilo & Rejuran
Profhilo is the latest contender in the injectables scene. Similar to Rejuran healers, Profhilo can stimulate collagen and is beneficial for anti aging.
The main difference lies in the main ingredient. Profhilo is made out of 2 types of hyaluronic acid: L-HA & H-HA. It has the highest hyaluronic acid count at 32mg/ml
- Profhilo only requires 5 injection points per face
- Profhilo can only target cheeks
- Rejuran can target the whole face
Although, Profhilo seems more superior, the current injection sites can only be done on the cheeks & neck. Therefore, the upper parts of the face may not be properly treated.
For a full-face treatment, the combination of Rejuran and Skinboosters is still an excellent alternative.
Profhilo Injection Points
5 Bio Aesthetic Points (BAP)
Profhilo created the Bio Aesthetic Point (BAP) application technique for the lower face and neck. The BAP injection sites were carefully chosen as there are no nerve branches or big blood vessels. These points have been chosen with care to guarantee that
- Improved spreadability of the HA acid over the whole treatment area
- Reduce the risk of bruising by avoiding big blood vessels.
There are a total of 10 BAP injections for the face (5 points on each side)
There are ten BAP sites for injections in the neck.
In comparison to therapies like Rejuran and Skinboosters, which require more injections, Profhilo is safer due to its low injection sites (reducing the risks of bruising and pain). Because of its short downtime, this therapy is ideal for people who are often on the go.

The treatment is injected into the skin’s surface, and a numbing cream will be applied to minimize discomfort. There is minimal downtime, and normal activities can be resumed after.
Profhilo Review – Treatment Experience
Prior to the treatment, a numbing cream will be applied to ensure minimal pain and discomfort. Each injection feels like a little ant bite, and many of our patients find it bearable.
Our experienced doctor will map out the 5 BAP sites on either side of the face prior to treatment. An ice pack is used before each injection to decrease pain and the risk of bruising.
A little raised bump/swelling may appear at the injection sites right after therapy.
As Profhilo diffuses into the skin, these lumps will start to flatten in a few hours. After 24 to 48 hours, they are completely gone. This can be accelerated by using an aggressive recovery cream.

Profhilo Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
How many Profhilo treatments are required?
For full effects, two (2) sessions are required at four weeks apart.
The first session encourages hydration and adds volume to the skin. The second session is designed to ‘boost’ the benefits and ensure that they stay longer.
Profhilo results can be seen from the first session onward and will improve over the course of 6–8 weeks. Depending on the individual, a third session might be scheduled 6–12 months later.
Is Profhilo painful?
The treatment is injected beneath the skin using extremely fine needles.
The protocol is to inject on only 5 points, each side of the face. Numbing cream will be administered prior to the treatment to ensure the patient’s comfort.
Generally, most patients find the pain tolerable and can resume normal activities afterward.
For the first 1-2 days, minor discomfort around the injection sites is common.
Does Profhilo have any downtime?
There is very minimal downtime, and most patients can go about their daily routines. Bruising and pain are common side effects of injectables.
For a few hours following the treatment, a tiny bump might be seen over the injection site. This bump does not require massage because it spreads beneath the skin on its own.
The bumps may last longer in patients with thinner skin receiving neck treatments, although they can be gently massaged in to decrease downtime.
We recommend avoiding alcohol and strenuous activity for 24 hours following the treatment.
Profhilo side effects?
Profhilo has no long-term adverse effects as the ingredients are biocompatible with the human body. It is also non-inflammatory.
It is important to seek an experienced doctor who is certified to inject Profhilo to ensure the right Bio Aesthetic Points targeted.
The injection method is critical for optimal outcomes. To achieve its full effects, it should not be injected too deeply into the skin.
